Former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, has been taken in by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC – and according to what YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine was told, he will be arraigned tomorrow, Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the Federal High Court, Abuja, alongside a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Anesthesia Nwaobia and her deputy.
The trio are facing a 12-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence, corrupt practices, money laundering, etc.
It would be recalled that Moro, 59, was implicated in the March 15, 2014 Immigration Recruitment Mess, at the National Stadium, Abuja, during which over 20 applicants died.
The applicants, in their thousands, had gathered to write a recruitment test into the Nigerian Immigration Service, which went awry. And this was after all of them had been made to pay for the test, which fetched the then Ministry of Interior millions of Naira.
