The Nwafor family of Ogwa, in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State, has finally released the burial details of their great son, father, brother, son and uncle, Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi, YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine can confirm.
The dashing star actor and producer reportedly died on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State, after taking ill.
According to a reliable information from the family, his funeral service and interment will hold in his wondrous all-white country home in Umuezealaeze, Alaenyi, Ogwa, Imo State on Friday, August 18, 2023. The programme will begin at exactly 10am.
A week before, that is Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Civic Centre, on Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island, Lagos, a candlelight service will equally hold to celebrate the handsome and hunky Theatre Arts graduate of the University of Jos whose acting imprint and exploits will continue to occupy a pride of place in Nollywood.
Born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and raised in Jos, Plateau State, Saint was in his 50s, married to Linda and blessed with three children, two boys and a girl, before death took him away.
“His sudden death shook the world and is still shaking it”, lamented one of his colleagues who pleaded anonymity. “My prayer is that his soul finds favour with his maker.”
