Flamboyance, panache, flair, style, class, royalty and unrivaled ambience of serenity are some adjectives that could best describe the grand atmosphere at the Fola Osibo, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos venue when popular socialite and politician, RotimiAjanaku, celebrated his 40th birthday. The all-suit gig was initially planned to be a small hangout with friends, but the influence of the Ibadan born politician on the social scene made it imperative for anyone who heard about it to shelve other appointments to mark attendance at the luxurious event. As the day wound down and the tone set for the sumptuous memorial dinner, the Lekki home of the top socialite was gradually filled with obvious friends and well-wishers. But little did the guests know that two first sons of two south western states of Nigeria would also be part of the merry making. They are Governors Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State and Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State.
The presence of Ajimobi signaled Rotimi Ajanaku’s status in his homeland, Ibadan, while Fayose, apart from being a die-hard fan of the birthday boy, is also a roving socialite who enjoys life to the fullest.
Their presence added more color to the monotonous black and white colors of the day. Also, his bosom friend, Dare Santana, made sure that there was no hitch at the party, as he played the role so well.
