Globacom on Tuesday opened its eighty third Customer Care Centre, popularly known as Gloworld in Nigeria in its bid to take customer care delivery services closer to the people.
The opening of the shop located at the Kada Entertainment Centre located along the ever-busy Sapele Road, Benin makes the third of such customer care centre in Benin City. The first and second shops are on Mission Road and Agbor Park Road respectively.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the National Sales Coordinator, Globacom, Mid-West Territory, Mr. Offor Augustus-Ndu, said that the latest shop in Benin is part of Globacom’s efforts at ensuring that its esteemed customers, especially those in the G.R.A. axis of Benin City do not travel far before they can access customer care services.
According to him, “Kada Entertainment Plaza is strategic as it remains one of the busiest environments in Benin City where diverse segments of our customers congregate. We are aware that it is opened everyday of the week, and this will give our numerous customers that visit the plaza the ample opportunity of experiencing our quality customer service even as they catch their fun” adding that it is the network’s desire to facilitate access to the users of its products and services, both young and old, rich and promising.
In his remarks at the commissioning, the Chairman of Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, Hon. Moris Ogunrobo-Ovia, who commissioned the new Glo shop, commended Globacom for always making “customers number one in all its activities.”
The council boss noted that Globacom “has from the inception of its services in Edo State rendered wonderful services to our people. That a new shop is being opened at Kada Cinemas by Globacom shows how thoughtful the company is and I want to sincerely appeal to Globacom not to rest on its oars and it should leave no stone unturned in ensuring that our people continue to get the best. On our part as government, we shall continue to encourage the company and support all its efforts here in Edo State”.
Shortly after the shop officially opened, enthusiastic Glo subscribers besieged the shop in their hundreds, expressing joy at having a customer care centre in such a central area of the city.
Enoma Omoregbe, a legal practitioner and one of the earlier customers in the shop said that he was delighted “that Globacom is opening another shop in the GRA end of Benin City. This is a welcome development and this goes to show that the company cares more about the people. One can only pray that very soon, Glo will open another shop at the Ugbowo end of the city and that will be the icing on the cake for the company and its subscribers.”
Iyesoge Ogbeifun, a student of the University of Benin, while speaking on her experience at the new shop said “this is highly innovative of Globacom to open a customer care centre around this place and you can imagine how nice it will be when people who come here for fun can also resolve their issues at the Glo shop.”

Idris; Executive Director, Produce, Edo State, Mr. Romeo Omoike; Mr. Trevor Pillay, MD, Kada Cinemas Entertainment Centre; Mr. Gabriel Iduseri, MD, Gabros Divine Technology; Mr. Titus Akhigbe, Secretary, Edo State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists and the News Editor of Observer Newspapers, Mr. Andy Egbon amongst others.
