The season 2 of ‘The Art Of Worship” has come to a conclusive end; the saying that “MAN PROPOSES AND GOD DISPOSES” has been brought to bare.
Ediomo Akpan emerged the TRUE HYMNODIAN 2020 and was coronated accordingly. The returning hymntestants, as well as the top 4 finalists showed their solidarity and expressed their congratulatory messages to the winner.
In the studio, our limited audience could not agree more and the voting public has expressed its content on the process. It was a battlenodia of many sorts and it all went down to the wire. The ratio was compiled and the verdict, FINAL.
As we congratulate the winner, we also took home a few pointers: the will of God will always be done.
The fighting spirit of the finalists was very expressive and they all agree that Edioma Akpan deserved to win.
Branded the “PUPPET-MASTER”, Ediomo combined the craft of Hymn-singing and writing with the skill of stage ownership. This year’s supremo, with a tangible sense of humour captivated his fans and the viewing hymn-loving public with what could only be attained at the west end of modern day theatre in England. Ediomo Akpan took home the ASAPH, 5 million naira cash and a brand new car.
Duke Asuquo emerged the first runner-up, followed by Yinka Odunayo. Frank Okoye came fourth and Json followed suit.
The returning hymntestants were also rewarded for their academic excellence and hymn-writing skills.
The hymnstitute has been closed for the academic year and expects to resume in the year for season 3.
One thing is clear; for us all at HYMNODIA, the race is not for the swift. Despite the pandemic slowing us down, it never stopped us. When you focus on the prize; with genuine intentions of working in the house of God for His praise alone, the reward is abundant.
This should be our mantra in all spheres of life: the Supreme Being is always watching. This is THE ART OF WORSHIP: THIS IS HYMNODIA.
