A mild drama ensued on Saturday, April 5, 2014 during the ward congresses of the All Progressive Congress in the state. The Governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, had come visiting Chief Segun Osoba’s ward at Ago Iba, Abeokuta, when a member of the party started hurling insults at him. Obviously angered by his outburst, the Governor immediately asked his details to get him arrested. But, as the young man was being dragged away, still ranting and raving and not relenting, the Governor smiled and asked him to be released. The Governor latter addressed all gathered on the need to be peaceful and well-coordinated so as to set a standard for other states to copy. More on the congress later.
