Limpopo crooner, Kingsley Okonkwo, aka Kcee, is seriously reaping from his sweat. The energetic musician recently got paid about N45m by callertunz for his hit track, Limpopo. Kcee, who got signed to MTN in 2013, has been releasing hits upon hits which has made him one of the most sought after musicians in Nigeria now. His Limpopo track which MTN callerztunes subscribers pay fifty naira to download is one of the most downloaded songs. MTN callertunz which was launched in 2008 has grown to become the largest distribution platform for music in Nigeria with over 17 million subscribers. It has also provided Nigerian artistes a credible means of monetizing their content with a library of over 12,000 callertunez from various artistes. YES International! called him to confirm this on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. His personal assistant who simply identified himself as Chidozie said, “Yes! It is true he collected some amount of money from MTN, but you don’t expect me to disclose such amount. Even if Kcee was the one that attended to you, he won’t disclose the amount”. Kcee who had dropped more than five hit tracks: Give It To Me, Okpekete 1 & 2, Limpopo, Okoso, Pull Over, all in audio and video versions, just dropped another hit again titled Emmah, featuring D’Banj.
