Following the announcement of its return, ID Africa, organisers of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), have opened the registration for the ninth edition of the annual entertainment conference, which will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Lagos, Nigeria.
The leading communications and strategic advisory company declared the registration for the event open on Monday, March 14, 2022 on nec.ng.
Themed, “Sustaining The Africa Momentum”, NECLive9 plans to expand into a pan-African event this year. According to the organisers, the conference will delve into the role of creatives and the entertainment industry in nation-building.
According to Femi Falodun, CEO of ID Africa, NECLive9 is bringing together key industry players from across the continent for a much-needed conversation on how to sustain the Africa momentum because “Creativity, pop culture, technology and youthful energy are some of the most powerful forces that can create meaningful social and economic change in Africa today and tomorrow.”
NECLive also plans to return in-person as a hybrid event since the last live event in 2019. The event will be a blend of an in-person event featuring a select number of guests with participants and a live global broadcast across cable TV, radio and online.
Participants will be grouped into three categories: the physical attendees who will attend the conference at Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, online participants – who will join the conference via digital channels, as well as viewers and listeners on cable TV and radio.
