The sweet air of freedom, again, eluded Chris Kehinde Nwandu of CKN Nigeria yesterday at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos. His bail application did not sail through, thus he was returned to Ikoyi Prisons where he had been now for over one week.
CKN was arrested over a story he ran on Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo of Fidelity Bank, which obviously didn’t resonate well with the man. Initially detained by the police at FSU, he was brought before Justice Muhammed Yunusa who is currently looking into the matter.
Now adjourned to Tuesday, September 15, 2015, many are praying that he will be granted bail eventually. Meanwhile, undeground moves have not abated over how an amicable resolution could be reached by all the parties. YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine have it on good authority that some of Chris’ close friends and colleagues are championing this.
The now controversial and troublesome story – alleging that Mr. Okonkwo, the MD of the bank, was dating a staff equally led to the arrest and detention of another blogger, Seun Oloketuyi of Naijahottestgist. Although the latter has since been granted bai – which is also the prayer of many for the former.
