Controversial businessman and politician, Buruji Kashamu, may not find it easy returning to the Senate. Investigations conducted by us revealed that with the nullification of his election days back by The National and State Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, those who have been in disagreement with him are now more emboldened to strike.
Among them are the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency with whom he has been having a running battle; former President Olusegun Obasanjo who is a major enemy; and the All Progressives Congress, APC, whose candidate, Dapo Abiodun, he defeated in the election.
But even with the fears that currently abound in Kashamu’s camp, the next 90 days will determine whether or not he will continue to represent the good people of Ogun East in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja. Kashamu belongs to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
