Months after their titanic battle over who controls Edo State politics, Governor Godwin Obaseki and his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, finally met face to face on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
The duo met at a religious programme in Auchi. Explaining what actually happened as well as his grouse with the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Obaseki had this to say: ‘During the Centenary Birthday Thanksgiving of Msgr. Thomas Oleghe and 18th Canonical Erection Anniversary of the Diocese of Auchi, held at Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Auchi, I emphasised that I held no personal grudges against the former APC chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. I only dislike his style of politics.
‘As sons of Edo, we all are interacting with the interest of the country and the development of our state at heart.’
