Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has assured the Ogun State Government of Federal Government’s support towards the success of its 40th anniversary celebrations.
The Minister gave the assurance in Abuja when he received in his office a delegation of the State, led by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Adedayo Adeneye.
According to him, “Ogun State is one of the States in Nigeria where its icons and indigenes have made landmark contributions, not only to the development of the State but also the country at large.”
Mohammed added that the Federal Government is happy to be part of the success story of the State, especially now that the present administration, led by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is leaving no stone unturned in its Mission to Rebuild Ogun State.
He congratulated the government and the people of the State, wishing them a successful hosting of President Muhammadu Buhari during the anniversary celebrations.
Responding on behalf of the State Government, Adeneye appreciated the Federal Government for its support, noting that the commemoration is not a jamboree but a huge harvest of completed projects and stewardship.
The Commissioner equally disclosed that out of the hundreds of completed projects scattered across the three Senatorial Districts of the State, the State Government had chosen 40 legacy projects for commissioning to mark the 40th anniversary.
