Ogun State Governor-Elect, Dapo Abiodun, is rearing to go.
Days to assuming office, the multi-millionaire businessman behind Heyden Petroleum, has begun rolling out some of his plans.
According to him, ‘In a bid to cater for the socioeconomic transformation of our border areas, we will establish a Lagos-Ogun Joint Development Commission.’
Continuing, he added that ‘I will complete all the ongoing and abandoned road projects in Ogun State.
‘Ogun State Road Maintenance Agency – OGROMA – shall be revived under my administration.’
OGROMA, it would be recalled, was set up by the government of Otunba Gbenga Daniel. But was abandoned by the outgoing government of Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
Amosun and Daniel fell out, both politically and others, after being friends for years. Thus necessitating the latter supporting Abiodun who ultimately trounced Amosun’s candidate, Abdulkadir Akinlade in the governorship election.
