The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Adesegun, has not been having it rosy since becoming the number two citizen. Right from inception when it became clear to the then chieftains of the defunct ACN that the incumbent governor, Ibikunle Amosun, will ignore party rules and not dance to their tune, the Deputy Governor had been tactical and diplomatic, reading more of newspapers in his office and playing lawn tennis in the evening to pass time. With the current state of things, and Adesegun pitching his tent, and understandably so with Aremo Segun Osoba, his mentor, he is hardly asked to represent the Governor at official matters. The Deputy Governor is obviously on his own and has accepted it as such. Electricity supply to the Deputy Governor’s lodge and Guest House had been disconnected for over three months, due to accumulated bills running into millions of naira. The official Land Cruiser of the Deputy Governor has a major fault that has not been fixed till date. Findings also revealed that the “file” with which payment would be made has not gotten to the final destination where it would be approved. As if that was not enough, recently, the Commissioner for Works, Lekan Adegbite, was said to have overtaken and blocked the convoy of the Deputy Governor, along Abeokuta-Isiun-Sagamu express way, where the former got out of his car and started blaming the Deputy Governor for not supporting the second term bid of his boss. Wahala!
