Media organisations in Ogun State have been reassured of the state government’s continued efforts at ensuring a conducive environment for them to thrive.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Adedayo Adeneye said this when he paid a courtesy visit to the General Manager of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (Paramount FM), Mrs. Kemi Ajayi in her office in Abeokuta.
The commissioner, who stated that the government would continue to need the support of media towards the success of its mission to rebuild the state, added that “we are committed to partnering with the media in the state in furthering the policies of the present administration.
“We remain committed to maintaining a cordial relationship with the media as partners in progress and development of not only the state but also the nation”, he added.
Adeneye said the developmental efforts of both the federal and state governments need the cooperation of all sectors, of which the media is key.
He enjoined media to always be objective in their reportage and ensure that news are balanced, “treating facts as facts and opinions as opinions.”
In her response, Mrs. Ajayi appreciated the visit and assured that the station would not relent in its service to the people of the state.
She pledged the station’s continued support to the state government and applauded the lofty developmental drive of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun administration.
