Segun Bucknor, father of popular event planner, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, is no more.
Aged 71, the multi talented artiste and journalist died in the early hours of Friday, August 10, 2017.
A renowned pianist, keyboardist, guitarist, bandleader and so on, he was the co founder of The Soul Assembly and later Segun Bucknor & The Soul Assembly.
Born in Lagos in 1946, he was educated at the popular Kings’ College and among his widely known songs/compositions are Who Say I Tire and You Killing Me.
Equally a fantastic writer, he used to maintain a column in Sunmi Smart Cole’s Lagos Life.
His burial details were yet to be announced as at the time of writing this.
