After spending some days at the EFCC office, renowned journalist and ex President Goodluck Jonathan’s spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, was yesterday granted an administrative bail.
Currently battling to sort out the bail requirements, including producing a director in the Federal Civil Service as a surety, depositing his international passport with them and so on, Abati, it would be recalled, reported at the anti graft agency’s office to respond to allegations of collecting N50 million from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, rtd.
Though unconfirmed, the one-time Chairman of the Editorial Board of The Guardian Newspapers allegedly told his interrogators that the money was shared to journalists as Sallah and Christmas gifts.
Of course, investigation continues.
