Deposed Emir of Kano and former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Lamido Sanusi, has bared his mind on the coronavirus pandemic which has continued to ravage the whole world.
In a sponsored post of Facebook, the cerebral, controversial and charismatic erstwhile first class traditional ruler had this to say: ‘Whether it is from God or Devil or Man made, what matters now is that the virus must die.
‘This is not the time to play politics
This is not the time to claim superiority of religion or any ethnic group.
‘This is the time to come together as one to kill Covid-19 in Nigeria.
‘We cannot avoid to allow it go out of hand like it is doing in some countries.
‘As the government is working medically to contain this virus, let them also know that there is nothing God cannot do.
‘Let the government announce a national day of prayers, God to heal our land.
‘Let all our religious leaders come together as one and pray (they know how to do so without coming together physically if they want to)
‘This is a national fight, we will all be happy when we win and God will take the glory.
‘I pray that God will put an end to the spread of the virus in our land
‘I also pray that all those who had contacted it already will be healed.
‘Thanks.’
