Former Super Eagles player and coach, Samson Siasia, has appealed to the kidnappers of his mother to please release her unconditionally.
According to the ex-Nantes of France player, he’s been out of job now for three years and as such can’t afford the N70 million ransom they are demanding.
Siasia’s mother, Madam Beauty Ogere, 80, it would be recalled, was kidnapped for the second time on July 15, 2019 from her home in Odoni, Sagbama local government area of Bayelsa State, alongside one Florence Donana and her daughter, 17.
The kidnappers, days later, allegedly established contact with Siasia’s family and demanded N70m to free her. An amount Siasia says he doesn’t have, the reason being that he’s been out of job now for three years.
Siasia, who is still out of the country, said one of his cousins spoke with the kidnappers, who demanded the ransom.
But going on his knees, Siasia said, “I just want to say please, I beg you. The woman is old, please release her. I don’t have a job in the last three years. She is an old woman, with this cold, she may not survive it. I don’t have that kind of money they are asking for.”
