The recent industry reports which rated Globacom as the preferred network for new internet users have continued to generate animated interest amongst telecom subscribers who commended the network for its sterling quality of services and unique data plans.
A cross-section of subscribers across the country singled out the network’s speed and reliability of connectivity as well as the unmatched value offered by the network’s data plans as reasons for choosing Glo.
Gbenga Oyegoke, who works with a bank at Shoprite Mall, Lekki, Lagos, said Glo data packages are quite user-friendly and the data rates are equally attractive. “I ported to Glo from another network about three months ago, and I can say I have been enjoying the data services. I enjoy the uninterrupted connectivity even when I am on the road.”
A Lagos-based journalist, Funke Ishola, describes her experience on the Glo network as amazing enthusing: “Glo internet service has been awesome. I only switched to Globacom about a year ago because the other network I was using was becoming a burden. I am a heavy user and it was becoming too expensive and I was not enjoying good service. But the experience with Glo is different.”
“Another thing I enjoy is the hotspot connection,” she continued. “I can easily connect to my laptop via the hotspot. The world is now global and people rely on the internet to keep abreast of developments. Being a journalist, I rely heavily on the internet to do my job. Glo has given me the leverage I need to excel in my job. Glo has very friendly and affordable data packs and the connectivity is superb. I send my stories with ease from anywhere, unlike my colleagues who have to wait to get to the office because of the unreliability of the network they are using.”
On why she joined the Globacom network only last year, Ishola declared, “I can say I was blind, now I can see. I have tasted the other networks, now I know the difference.”
An Engineer resident in Lagos, Alhaji Opeyemi Aminu, who also had nice words for the Glo data services, said, “I ported from another network to Glo a few months ago because of my dissatisfaction with my previous service provider. I am now enjoying my internet service with Glo. The speed is o.k. and the connectivity is steady and reliable.”
From Bompai region of Kano, Ene Sharon, a banker, says, “Glo data is quite competitive. I also enjoy the quality of the network especially at nights when I have time to do my downloads and use the social media.”
A company executive, Yohanna Yakubu, who lives in Kano Municipal area said he is happy to be a Glo data subscriber because its data packs are quite innovative and affordable. Esther Balogun, a business tycoon, who also resides in the Kano Municipal area declared: “I also use the other three networks and I must say I am very pleased with the Glo tariff plans. Glo is the best because I get more gigabytes for less money.”
From the south-south part of the country, the response is not different. Samson Pepple, a school principal in Onne, Rivers State, said, “I enjoyed the Glo tariff more, compared to competition.” He also encourages his staff to use Glo data packs because they are “the best when it comes to data offering.”
Deima Abibo, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations), Uyo, Akwa Ibom, says he is delighted to be on the Glo network. He noted that he is a heavy user of Glo data offerings, and wants Glo to continue to deliver more data options and offerings to beat competition in Nigeria.
