On Tuesday, March 11, 2014, a new fun haven, The Bomb Club and Lounge, was unveiled at 10, Ogunlana Drive, by Obele Oniwala junction, Surulere, Lagos. The club which opened for operations on Friday, February 14, 2014 has since won the hearts of fun lovers around the mainland. The Bomb, which was established as a result of lack of quality and serene clubs around the Surulere axis, has been described by fun lovers as wonderful. According to the Managing Director, Mr. Babino Patrick Omeje, aka Olupato , “ We would be a month old in a couple of days at The Bomb and it’s been massive because here at The Bomb, we give you everything you need when it comes to entertainment. This club was established because there are no good event centres in Surulere and most parts of the mainland and we want people to be able to chill close by, not necessarily having to drive all the way to the Island. We want to reposition the minds of the people on the mainland. We also provide first class security, daily streetlights and electricity. We set up the standard to ‘A’ level. It is a classical bar”. Olupato, who is also the owner of Movida Lounge in Kubwa, Abuja, is from Enugu, the eastern part of the country. “We started this club to save lives and the stress of going as far as the Island just to chill, club or do events. Now, all can be held at The Bomb Lounge”. Among the special days at the club are: A Night With Monalisa; also know as ladies’ night. It comes up once in a month; A night With The Stars; on this day, top icons in all aspects of entertainment will be in the club to celebrate with their fans. It comes up about four times in a month; Zodiac Celebrity Party would celebrate stars on their birthdays; Corporate Evening is meant for corporate workers and it’s strictly by invitation.
