The strong man of Southwest politics and All Progressives Congress chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, not long ago, ‘appeared in public’.
Rumours, it would be recalled, had been flying up and down over the whereabouts of the former governor governor of Lagos State and erstwhile senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. While one group claimed he had fled to Germany, especially after the #EndSARS protest got out of hand, the other said he was in London.
But rubbishing all that today, the bespectacled politico, during a solidarity visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos said: “I didn’t go nowhere…I’m a Lagosian…I still hold the title of the Asiwaju of Lagos…I am still the Jagaban…”
Tinubu’s visit was at Marina, and he came in a convoy of three SUVs. On his way out, he also dropped hints about wanting to visit victims of the riot in hospital.
